The Murray River
Images and Photography
The Murray River has always held a great connection and inspiration for me having spend a lot of my adolescence and teens on two properties no more than a 'stones-throw' away from our iconic water way.
Besides the few odd childhood snaps of the river, my photography, and that of river photography, started in earnest during a trip along it in 2006, as I began my photographic journey and career capturing not only the Murray River, but the Darling River as well.
Now living in Albury, a Murray River city, I am lucky enough to live on the river that has such an ethereal power over those that live, and have lived along for thousands of years, along it.
From the Alpine region from where it is sourced, though the Riverina, past its confluence with the Darling River at Wentworth, and the Riverland to its mouth at Lake Alexandrina, it certainly travels through some of the most majestic Australian landscapes.
